This service coming in the late summer of 09 will allow students to prepare for the cultural, academic and social adjustment of moving to the US for college. From the very practical instructions on getting a drivers license, to the broader question of developing an affective support network.

We are in need of someone to coordinate communication from GSS to, students, schools and donors. This could be one person or 3 and will include some web content, e-newsletters, facebook and e-mail.

Presence not required.

Good writing skills a must.

Self motivated and not afraid of making phone calls is important.

This is an ongoing role (actually several) that involves online searches and research to benefit students and the organization. Past searches have included: cell phone rates, international text messaging, cheap travel, OPT guidelines, 800#'s, global student enrollment and more.

Work regular hours weekly in Anderson. We are looking for 3 people to share this role so that the office can be open 30 hours per week. We want to maintain a presence in the office, and provide rapid response to e-mail and phone communication. Will help with staff communications, maintain the office calendar, various secretarial and office management roles. It would be helpful to have one person with some accounting experience.

Parents with small children or who home school are welcome, we have space for napping and study.

Must be friendly and positive.

GSS is currently conducting college surveys, persons are need to make phone calls and follow up with schools (survey can be filled out online or over the phone. It is a 10 question survey)

If you like to be on the phone then you will love this experience.

GSS is engaged in several forms of fundraising and is currently seeking a coordinator of these efforts. Experience a plus, comfort working with donors and community leaders is critical.
